MLADÁ BOLESLAV TOUR 2026
The race in Mladá Boleslav is like a home race for us: Daniel Varga rode his bike all the way from home, Kawas squeezed it in between two night shifts, and the rest of the team drove there. The course went past Koželuhy, so we even had fans cheering us on along the route.
The weather forecast for Saturday didn't look promising, but at least it stopped raining before the start. Pavel Šorf was the first to set off on Route B. He managed to avoid several crashes at the front, and the split times pointed to a great result—Pavel was in first place! However, it was a small group, so they battled it out for the overall victory in the final sprint. There, the other riders closed in on Pavel a bit, so he crossed the finish line in 4th place in his category and 5th overall. He was sad about it, but it was a great performance and an excellent result given the competition on Route B. All it took was a little bit of luck... After all, Pavel is currently second in the overall series standings!
There were more of us on Route C, with someone in every lane: Kawas, Klára, Jakub, Daniel, and Dušan, who wanted to try a shorter route for the first time in a long while. Martin Kavalír rode very well as usual, finishing 6th in his category, Dušan Pressl 26th, and Daniel Varga 41st. Klára Tomsová was dealing with health issues, and even a course with minimal elevation gain and long flat sections doesn't really suit her, yet she still took 8th place and holds 2nd place in the series standings.
The youngest member of the team, Jakub Šorf, made it onto the podium in his first appearance at the Kola pro život race! We were somewhat expecting this, because Kuba rides really well, but it was still his debut—a bit of nervousness—yet he handled it perfectly, finishing 3rd in his category and 42nd overall among the men!
Congratulations to everyone, both for the results and the team spirit.
