ČT Author Cup 2025

As usual, the last race of the year in Bedřichov welcomed us with fog, rain, cold, and mud. Any sensible person would have stayed indoors by the fireplace on Saturday, but several thousand cyclists had other ideas... So we gathered at P4 on Friday and hoped that Saturday would be at least a little better...

Martin, David, Dušan, Pavel, and Klára went for it headfirst. In the morning, they put on everything they had that was waterproof so they wouldn't be completely wet before the start, and at 10:30 they set off on the muddy track. The rest of the team grabbed their jackets and headed to the stadium to wait and see if they would return alive and well.

And they did return, but they had to quickly change into dry clothes in the cars because Kawas came in third! So, another award ceremony... It was probably to be expected, because Martin is constantly improving and it was probably only a matter of time. But he planned it perfectly, for the last race...

But let's not forget the others, because Klára's sixth place is also fantastic, and everyone else deserves a big round of applause for how they performed on this difficult track...

In the end, we were all satisfied with the results and experiences, and we are looking forward to the next season.
